Integrated Management System
The Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye exemplifies its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence through the continuous enhancement of its integrated management system.
In 2010, the Bank initiated the implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System to mitigate adverse environmental impacts and ensure efficient resource utilization, thereby becoming the first state-owned bank to adopt the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Since 2010, the Bank has steadfastly advanced its environmental sustainability initiatives, aiming to promote environmental responsibility among internal and external stakeholders by advocating eco-friendly practices. Within this framework, the Bank conducts an annual evaluation of its environmental performance, employing a continuous improvement approach to meet its sustainability goals in accordance with international standards.
To broaden the scope of its management systems, the Bank undertook significant actions in 2020 to transition to an integrated management system encompassing ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. As a result of these efforts, the Bank achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications in 2021, in addition to maintaining its ISO 14001 certification.
In 2022, the Bank implemented new initiatives to further improve its management system, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Accordingly, it achieved the ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System certification to effectively manage, evaluate, and reduce customer complaints, increase customer satisfaction, and meet future expectations. Upon attaining this certification, the Bank established its Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety Policy and distributed it to all relevant stakeholders.
The Bank has also made significant progress in information security and has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System certification for adhering to this internationally recognized standard.
The Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye regularly monitors and calculates greenhouse gas emissions generated from both its operational and indirect activities. This data is verified in accordance with the TS EN ISO 14064 standard and is neutralized within the framework of international standards.
