Grievance Redress Mechanism
Parties that are directly and/or significantly affected by environmental and social risks arising from the Bank's operational and financing activities are invited to submit complaints to the Bank. All received complaints are systematically documented and responded to promptly.
The Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), developed and implemented by TKYB, adheres to international standards. A specific GRM is also established for each financed project and is managed in an integrated manner. This mechanism functions effectively across all projects, ensuring that all stakeholder groups, particularly disadvantaged groups, are informed about its existence through project-specific GRMs. As a crucial element of stakeholder engagement, this mechanism not only enhances social sustainability but also improves stakeholder satisfaction, thereby fostering a positive impact.
This mechanism is also supported by environmental and social audits, which monitor the environmental and social impacts of the Bank’s operations, enabling the early identification of non-compliances and adverse effects. Any identified issues are promptly rectified in accordance with established protocols, and mechanisms for monitoring and reporting are activated to monitor the efficacy of the processes.
