Bekir Bayrakdar

Bekir Bayrakdar

Born in Kocaeli in 1971, Mr. Bekir BAYRAKDAR graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations in 1991.

Mr. Bayraktar commenced his professional career at the Board of Tax Inspectors, where he served as Assistant Tax Inspector and Tax Inspector from 1996 to 2004. Subsequently, he assumed various roles within the Kocaeli Tax Administration, including Acting Assistant Treasurer, Acting Revenue Administration Group Manager, and Acting Head of Tax Administration, between 2004 and 2008. He then served as the Treasurer of Istanbul at the Istanbul Provincial Treasurership from 2008 to 2014, followed by a tenure as Director General at the Directorate General of Public Accounts from 2014 to 2015. From 2015 to 2019, Mr. Bayraktar served as Head of Tax Administration at the Istanbul Tax Administration. Since 2019, he has served as the President of the Revenue Administration and continues in this role.

Mr. Bekir BAYRAKDAR served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Sakarya Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (SEDAŞ) between 2008 and 2010, at Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (AYEDAŞ) between 2010 and 2014, at ADABANK A.Ş. between 2014 and 2019, and at TAKASBANK A.Ş. from 2019 to 2023.

Mr. BAYRAKDAR possesses a Sworn Financial Advisor (YMM) certificate and an Independent Auditor license.

He has been serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at ASELSAN since the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting held on September 22, 2023. 

Furthermore, as of May 2026, Mr. BAYRAKDAR was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye.
